Who can use this form

You can use the online form to bring a complaint to us if you are a resident of a landlord that is a member of the Housing Ombudsman Scheme. Or somebody with authority to act on behalf of a resident.

Complaints we can consider

We investigate complaints about a landlord's housing management, for example:    

  • property condition and repairs   
  • charges and estate management   
  • complaint handling   
  • antisocial behaviour affecting you in your home

Some housing issues may be for another organisation to look at. We cannot consider every complaint about social housing.

When to bring a complaint to us

You can bring a complaint to us for investigation if you have completed your landlord’s complaint process and the issues have not been resolved or are unhappy with the way your landlord has handled it.  

We can also help if your landlord is not responding to a complaint you made to it.

Information you need to complete the online form

We will ask you to tell us:  

  • your landlord  
  • tenure type (for example, if you are an assured tenant or shared owner) 
  • details about the complaint you made to your landlord  
  • a copy of the complaint you raised  
  • a copy of any complaint responses  
  • information about you
