Background
- The resident reported a leaking toilet to the landlord in September 2024. She was dissatisfied with how the landlord managed the repair.
What the complaint is about
- The complaint is about the landlord’s handling of the resident’s reports of a toilet leak and associated damage.
Our decision (determination)
- We have not investigated the resident’s complaint because it is outside of our jurisdiction.
Reasons
- We may not investigate complaints which seek to raise again matters which we or any other Ombudsman have already decided upon. We have already investigated the landlord’s handling of the resident’s reports about the leaking toilet and associated damage under case reference 202413919. In that investigation, we considered the landlord’s final response dated 29 October 2024. This complaint is based on the same final response, which means we have no power to investigate it again.
