Dear Mr Alkwaz

Complaint: 202524424 – Your complaint about London Borough of Brent

I have now completed my investigation of your complaint and am writing to provide my decision. Thank you for the information you have provided, and I’m sorry it’s taken us longer than expected to investigate.

Please find attached my report. This sets out my decision and findings on behalf of the Ombudsman.

Publication

We publish our decisions on our website usually 3-months after the decision was issued unless there is a risk of identification. To protect your identity, we’ve referred to you as ‘the resident’ in our report. We do not name other individuals involved in your complaint but do name the landlord. If you want to object to us publishing our decision, please let us know by emailing: inforequests@housing-ombudsman.org.uk

Please tell us why you’re objecting to publication and include your complaint reference number 202524424.

Next steps

Our decision marks the end of our dispute resolution procedure. I’ve attached a fact sheet that answers some frequently asked questions.

We do not have an appeals process, and our decision is final. However, you can ask for our decision to be reviewed by a different caseworker if:

  • You have new facts or evidence we haven’t already considered
  • You are challenging the facts or evidence we’ve relied on

You must ensure we receive your review request and any new evidence by 27 May 2026. You must tell us why you believe the decision should change.

Your feedback is important to us as it helps us to meet customer needs.  We may contact you about this case. The feedback is very brief, so please help us by responding.

Yours sincerely
