Repairs are consistently the biggest category of complaint we deal with at the Housing Ombudsman Service. In March 2019, our “Spotlight on… complaints about repairs” report revealed that we received over 3,000 repairs complaints in 2018 alone.
After high demand for our repairs workshops with HQN in 2019, we’ve arranged a new series for 2020.
At the interactive sessions, our expert trainers will cover:
- How we investigate complaints at the Housing Ombudsman Service
- Preventing common problems
- Understanding responsibilities
- Closing complaints early
- Better record keeping
Drawing on best practice in dispute resolution based on our casework knowledge and experience, and using real case studies, landlords will come away feeling better equipped to deal with repair complaints. There will also be the opportunity to network with other landlords.
